Hot Fuzz (2007) kept us busy with multiple locations in the studios and on site across the South West and near London. We produced period details, roadways for model villages, modern offices, hotel interiors, supermarkets for shoot outs and much more.
Fast paced construction followed by special effects destruction; welcome to the world of feature film production!
Most of us at Helix began our careers in the film industry, so the opportunity to return to our roots on a major feature by one of the country’s hottest directors, with two of our favourite comedians, was a thrilling prospect.
The film was among the biggest and most complex to be shot in the UK that year, featuring more than fifty seperate locations, three studio builds and over forty individual sets. Working with long time client Marcus Rowland, the brief was to build, install and strike each set over the course of a five month production schedule.
